About

We are a voluntary community chorus of people drawn from all walks of life who come from communities throughout Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties. Founded in 1975 by Lonny and Nancy Strang, the group currently averages 50 members each session. Lonny was a Centennial School District music teacher who wanted to reach out and involve the community in an organized musical group.

United by our love of music and a desire to sing, we rehearse Tuesday evenings at the Hatboro Baptist Church located 32 N York Rd, Hatboro, PA. We do not have auditions; our members range from little or no musical training to some very talented singers with considerable experience.

Free community concerts are given at Log College Middle School in December and early June. The December concert features holiday and seasonal music, while our spring concert is more varied. Our repertoire includes folk, popular, spirituals, show tunes, ballads, classical, religious, and novelty selections. In addition to our two main concerts, we perform four to six concerts prior to these at various locations including retirement communities such as Ann’s Choice, Southampton Estates, Lafayette Redeemer, and The Bridges at Warwick. We have a float in the Southampton Days Parade on Fourth of July, singing patriotic songs as we go.

In addition to singing, we enjoy various social events during the year. These include a Spring banquet, a summer swim party, and a short rehearsal break each week with light refreshments which help to bond our members into a close family. This is a fun group that loves to sing and we invite you to join us. Our rehearsals normally begin the first or second Tuesday after Labor Day and the first Tuesday after New Year’s Day.
